Global temperature projections with increasing and decreasing greenhouse gas emissions

Met Office Hadley Centre projetions showing the changes in temperature across the globe, relative to pre-industrial levels, under two different emissions scenarios. The first is with emissions continuing to increase through the century. The second is with emissions declining through the century. By the end of the century the global average temperature rise [...]

Met Office Land Surface Temperature Data: Some visualizations

What does Average Temperature Mean Part 2

UPDATED To get regional and global view of temperature, dataset are combined and massaged to get the average graphs that depict a warming planet. But is this valid? I’ll show why it is not with specific examples. This practice must end because inventing data and combining data is creating data that [...]

High temperatures beat lows – Gerald Meehl (NCAR) on Current & Future Climate

Twice as many record-breaking high temperatures have been set compared to record lows across the U.S. in recent decades (see http://www.ucar.edu/news/releases/2009/maxmin.jsp ). For future climate, computer models show the ratio climbing to 30:1 by 2150 and 50:1 by 2199.
Day-to-day variability means we still get record cold days, but the record highs are far exceeding [...]

Al Gore on climate change (Letterman)

Climate change is a change in the statistical distribution of weather over periods of time that range from decades to millions of years. It can be a change in the average weather or a change in the distribution of weather events around an average (for example, greater or fewer extreme weather events). Climate change may [...]

What does Average Temperature Mean?

Looking at how the average of the yearly mean temperature is actually calculated. It meas that an increase in that value comes from a cooler summer, not as cold winters and a longer growing season. Global warming is not happening, this proves it.
