What can I do to block high temperatures from passing up through my work boots?

I have recently started working at a steel mill and am having a difficult time with high temperatures from the equipment that I have to spend a lot of time standing on. I am looking for something that I might be able to purchase that might aide in keeping my feet cooler.

I’m not sure how long it would last before falling apart, but cork is an extremely poor conductor of heat. Perhaps there is some way to affix it to the underside of your boots.
